Do you think her music will suffer?
Now that her and swizz beats are an item. More than likely swizzy will aid her in the production of her songs. I love ALL of her albums, but for some reason Element of Freedom lacked that umph we usually get from Alicia. With her past albums, I could leave the cd running from 1st to last song without having to skip something I didnt particularly like. With the Element album I find myself skipping a lot to get to Try Sleeping with a broken heart, and Thats how strong my love is. I couldnt believe that I only LOVED 2 songs. I usually love most of them. I wonder if its because of the lack of CRUCIAL. I wonder, if her style is just changing. I wonder if Swizzy doesnt make as good a track as Crucial does. I dont know. What do ya'll think?

i've been an alicia keys fan since the veryyyyy beginning and i still feel the same way after every album. i most definitely can play the whole cd without skipping a song.
Its Krucial with a "K" by the way.
And I dont think it matters who she works with when making her songs. She stays true to what she feels as an artist/musician and that makes it all sound GREAT! I love Krucial though
I think her style definitely changes. How could it not? Shes growing and experiencing new things and all these new things inspire her to make new music. In the end though I always get that "Alicia Keys" vibe. and I love it!

Thanks for correcting my spelling.....and no im not kidding. All Im saying is in a concert, Im waiting for her older songs rather than her new ones. Not saying I will stop listening to her, as SHE IS the greatest.....I'd take a Krucial produced song over a Swiss B produced song ANY day. With the exception of "thats how strong my love is" (GREAT SONG) everything else had to grow on me. Call me crazy, and I think many will, but I think it will be downhill from here on. I hope she proves me wrong.
No. I don't thnk her music will suffer at all. I love Element of Freedom. Had not listened to much Alicia Keys until this album, just, FALLIN. This album drew me back in. I think it will only get better no matter who produces because Alicia is only getting better. I think with every new album you have to listen to it a couple times before you can really get the feel of it. I have no problem listening to this album all the way through. To me, it is her best yet. LOL
Hey what's up AK247,It's been a long time. I can't believe my ears.Did you say you only like 2 songs on TEOF. You got to go back and listen again.This is one of Alicia's best CD's.But to each it's own.I think you like that raw ghetto Alicia.And i do too.But you have to get ready for change.(I'm Ready)lol. This CD was different because Alicia used more keyboards,More synthesizers and a bigger drum sounds on her CD.Alicia is changing as a woman and a artist.Remember the older you get the more mellow one gets.This is what i always wanted to hear, Alicia playing a synthesizer.When a musician starts out with a curtain instrument they like to stick to that instrument.(there strong point)So when that artist really starts to grow,That's where the experimentation come in at.I just love Synthesizers myself,So this CD got to me very easy.Now with the tour or concerts,It's hard for an artist to try and please everybody when they have a catalog like Alicia has.Believe me I wanted to hear some songs on the tour too that she didn't play.But i was happy with what she gave me.It's only two songs that i don't play,Yes i skip over them.lol But it's only two.With krucial there was chemistry and a long relationship.where they knew each other very well.With Swizz that chemistry will have to grow.Sometime it's easier to work with someone you not in love with.Trust me i know about being in the studio and the frustation kicks in.It's not pretty.lol I'm going to wait and see how there chemistry works for them.We can only love it or hate it.Swizz is a good producer,I'm still feeling Ruff Raider,(DMX),(EVE).So he has a good track record.But Krucial is the man he's smooth.He knows his craft.
