my sister in law lost her husband in january
He was in france in november and waited 45 minutes in lines to get alicia keys album
When he got back to martinique he told his wife honey I KNOW YOU WILL LOVE THIS ALBUM.
her husband loved the song tell you something a lot
He used to make his wife listen to it everyday 3 OR 4 TIMES a day
He did not speak any english so his wife use to bother him: you love this song but you don't know what she's singing about.
So after his wife comment he will stop the song and play it again and he will said honey be quiet and listen to that it's powerful like he said
when he died in january on a motocycle accident it was terrible for everyone
Specially that his wife was 5 months pregnant from their first child.
a week or so after the song was playing and someone told her that this song is beautiful but so said and she asks why and the girl explain that the song talks about someone that love someone and want to enjoy the last moment that they have together

This song has so much meaning. All her songs do but this on hit me. She makes a valid point in saying that you have to live life while you have it. Say what you have to say and do what you want to do. You must love who you love and show them because at some point this meaning life all goes away. Its important to express yourself to yourself and others.

As your previous albums, As I Am is a wonderful collection of songs that speak volumes. No One is a personal favorite of mine as is Where Do We Go From Here. I have been a fan for several years now, but with this new album's songs making the radio, my sister is now a huge fan as well. Mind you, there is a 20 year age gap between my sister and I so, that speaks volumes on the range of people who are touched by your music. We also made sure and got our tickets to see you in K.C. You have become one of the most talented and successful young musicians I have ever heard of. However, I know you probably won't read this but I just wanted to congratulate you. I know you get it alot. I also wanted to say that I read your book, I can't remember exactly what it is called right now, but the whole time I was reading I was noticing similarities between your poems and songs and my own.I enjoy your particular music style because its actually music. Its not fake like most of the "pop" stuff you hear. Its real. You're real. Most musicians get transformed by the media but you have stayed strong and continue to produce MUSIC! It was actually quite interesting. I have played piano now for four years and I also play trombone, trumpet, guitar, baritone and I sing. I have become completely consumed with music and absolutely adore it. Anyways. I will continue to write about things on my mind forever but I won't bore you with my way of thinking. Congratulations.
