I waited a while to comment on this one, as I listened to the Unplugged album first and I felt like all the really good songs were on it. So, I wasn't really in any hurry to listen to this album. Was I ever wrong, again. I'm sure you must get really tired of hearing how great you and your music are, but it's true. I love all your music. This album is also now one of my favorites. At first I thought the songs were too fast and there seemed to be a different sort of beat to them, but they have grown on me. I love a lot of the songs that weren't included on the Unplugged album. Wake Up, Dragon Days, When You Really Love Someone, So Simple, Slow Down, Samsonite Man, Nobody Not Really. These all are also really good songs. Wake Up, is definitely a favorite. I don't think you could write a bad song. Anyway, Diary, is an absolute favorite song and, If I Ain't Got You. I hope you continue to be inspired to write such beautiful music. Looking forward to the new album.
I really like Alicia Keys. She's good. She's a great r&b singer. She's got a great voice. When her sophomre album 'The Diary of Alicia Keys' came out in November of 2003. It was right after I turned twenty one. My mom should have bought me this for christmas because she would. She knew it was my christmas present. My youngest brother didn't wanna buy her this for her birthday or christmas. He knew it wasn't her birthday present or christmas present. I stole this from my mom because it's my CD. I put two of those including 'Songs in A Minor and 'The Diary of Alicia Keys' in my bedroom. I was pretty upset about my mom because she knows those are mine.
I love this song with all my heart. I sing for almost everything. I church i say Jesus instead of baby. All I have to say is keep on writing and dreaming.
No song on this album can be put bellow the other. They all shouldda made it top of the biilboard. I cant evn start reviewin one of them coz they are all excepional and it wld take me forever to put in words how they put to rest my whole self. For me this album appeals more to me than the ones that come after it. Yea they are the best albums around compared to those around in the entire industry globerly--,for me, but this one's just in a league of its own. its the reason why I loove Alicia. Peace.

This will be my wedding song, and if all goes well on the beach in jamaica. You are amazing and the lyrics to your music really go deep to the core of the heart. Keep going let no one and nothing stop the beautiful flow of love that comes from your heart and lips.

The Diary of Alicia Keys! After the major success of Songs in A Minor I couldn't wait until TDOAK came out. "You Don't Know my Name" the first single I heard it on the radio and I was amazed by the piano chromatics. I couldn't wait to see the video. When the video came out it was so amazing my favorite part is when Alicia goes to the piano store and plays. The overall stroyline is just great also. The second single "If I Ain't Got You" this song I feel is a story about true love. Everyone til this day still sings it down the street. The video gave us a tour of New York and showcased some acting by Alicia and Method Man. I love the boots Alicia was wearing in that btw Diary which was the third single which introduced us to Jermaine, gave us the story out of the pages of everyone's diary. This song is very beautiful and it also gave us a number that everyone has thought about calling or has called lol! Karma gave us a different variation with more strings and the purple piano in the video was awsome btw. One of my favorite song on the album is Nobody not Really.Like all of the other songs I can imagine myself in the story. All of the music you make puts us in a story. My DOAK cd came with a dvd and it gave an inside look on the making of the album and the tour. Alicia this album is a classic the writing is amazing like always you always give us something new. And your voice is perfect as always.
