I believe the things we go through are not for us. My preacher always says it's not about you, it's about God and what He is using us for. When you think about it we're being used anyway. Pain is not going to be ruled out because we're being used by God, however we can guarantee that a blessing will come out of it. Some people are hammers and other's are nails. A hammer facilitates a nail into getting where it needs to go. Until this happens, a nail is useless. We all have potential, but some of us need to be motiviated a little more and there's nothing like pain to motivate you. Think about it, if you're standing in one spot you're comfortable. But if God lights a fire under you then you're motivated to move. Does it hurt ?....yes ! However you will do something to prevent yourself from feeling the pain.

I say this because I've pretty much been a useless nail. I have great potential, and I allow people to lean on me. Still as far as carrying out God's plan for my life I have needed to be picked up, hit with touph love, constructive criticism and inspiration. When a nail is finished serving it's purpose in one spot, it's needed somewhere else. I hope this makes sense to someone. I guess what I'm trying to say is pain is going to hit out lives, but we can either focus on the pain and be ineffective or ignore it and push to have purpose.
